assignment 2 Task 3 - Research for production:

The following is a list of the equipment that we need to record our advertisement.

Camera - Nikon p500
Cost: free (already acquired)
Records in 1080p (High Definition)

Tripod
Cost: free (already acquired)

Locations
Robert clack lower school and Robert upper school - this place is great to film as there is a lot of land to choose from and it is the exact setting we need. The background in the drama studio in the upper school and corridor in the lower school are appropriate settings to film. The drama studio had nice lighting good enough to film with. The lower school corridor had natural lighting. The only disadvantage is that natural lighting is not reliable so it can be hard to tell when it will be convenient or not to film and the disadvantage of using the drama studies that when there is no electricity it is impossible to film. Also because we are filming in a school environment during break and lunch time things could get messy and people could run in the camera or run across the film scene.

Actors
For this advertisement, we will be the starring in it ourselves as we know what we want to do. We will ask friends who will be more than happy to also star alongside us in the advertisement, which means that we will not have to spend money or time on paying or looking for actors. A downside to this, though, is that some friends may waste time messing around although we know we will stick to our schedule and complete this advertisement on time.

Costumes
As our characters are going to be dressing up as their normal selves we would really need to buy much .however we would have to buy the actor’s costume and the mascara we are trying to advertise which could be purchased in a shop or shop online. The costumes will cost around £5 - £20.

Props
We need very minimal props for this advertisement, so we do not need to spend much money as we already have most items; we need a mascara which we would be buying.

Filming
The filming process will take no more than 3 days to do in total, if that. As we have media 3 times a week so we approximately film in a week. We can film in around 2 days and then we have a spare day if we need to record anything extra. I am confident, though, that we will record it within 2 days. The only downside to recording for 3 days is that we will have to travel back form forth from lower to upper school which can be very time consuming and rather tiring.
